IMPLEMENTASI CLASSICAL CUTTING GRIFFITH PADA GAYA PENYUTRADARAAN FILM PENDEK BERJUDUL "KIOS KEOS"

Film is a medium that the author uses to convey the author's concerns. Where the
author wants to convey the problem of generational inequality in society, where
this can trigger new bad things that will happen in society. Through comedy films,
the author will convey a sensitive film theme in terms of story and target audience.
The author uses a fun comedy style to touch the deepest lines, easy to enjoy and
also accepted by the audience. Comedy always needs rules to achieve it, so the
author will use Griffith's classical cutting theory to achieve it. With the
characteristic of manipulating through the sequence and accuracy of cutting
shots, it will be in line with the comedy style that needs a set up process to reach
the punchline that the author designed. This writing will discuss the classical
cutting theory applied to the pre-production, production, and post-production
processes. Covering all stages of the director's work, how to design a film using
classical cutting, to the finalization process of the film according to the classical
cutting theory. As a director, the author will design and apply all visual concepts
in the short film "Kios Keos" according to this theory.

Film merupakan media yang penulis gunakan untuk menyampaikan
keresahan penulis. Dimana penulis ingin menyampaikan permasalahan
ketimpangan generasi di masyarakat, dimana hal ini bisa memicu hal buruk baru
yang akan terjadi di masyarakat. Melalui film komedi, penulis akan menyampaikan
tema film yang sensitif dalam segi cerita dan target penonton. Penulis
memanfaatkan gaya komedi yang asik untuk menyentuh lini terdalam, mudah
dinikmati dan juga diterima oleh penonton. Komedi selalu butuh aturan untuk
mencapainya, dengan begitu penulis akan menggunakan teori classical cutting
Griffith untuk mencapainya. Dengan ciri khas memanipulasi melalui urutan dan
ketepatan pemotongan shot, akan menjadi hal yang sejalan dengan gaya komedi
yang butuh proses set up hingga bisa mencapai punchline yang penulis rancang.
Penulisan ini akan membahas teori classical cutting diterapkan pada proses pra
produksi, produksi, hingga pasca produksi. Meliputi tentang semua tahapan kerja
sutradara, bagaimana disain film menggunakan classical cutting, hingga proses
finalisasi film sesuai teori classical cutting. Sebagai sutradara penulis akan
mendisain dan menerapkan seluruh konsep visual dalam film pendek “Kios Keos”
sesuai dengan teori ini.
