PEMBUATAN SCRIPT ANIMASI 3D THE HARMONY SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI DAMPAK RASISME DAN DISKRIMINASI PADA ANAK

Racism and discrimination remain social issues that can be found among children and have negative impacts on their emotional well-being and social interactions. This study aims to produce a 3D animated short film, The Harmony, as an
educational medium about racism and discrimination for children aged 9–12 years. The production process involved a literature review, questionnaire distribution, story idea development, synopsis writing, the implementation of the three-act structure, and evaluation and revision. The story centers on Mareta, a girl from Papua who experiences discrimination at school due to her physical appearance
and cultural background. The final output is a 3D animated film with a duration of 8 minutes and 45 seconds, produced over seven months with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a frame rate of 30 fps. The film conveys the values of tolerance, empathy, and respect for diversity through a storyline that is easy for children to understand. Based on questionnaire results from 50 respondents, The Harmony was
considered an effective educational medium for improving children's understanding of the importance of respecting and appreciating differences.

Rasisme dan diskriminasi masih menjadi permasalahan sosial yang dapat ditemukan di lingkungan anak-anak dan berdampak pada kondisi emosional serta interaksi sosial mereka. Perancangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan film animasi 3D
The Harmony sebagai media edukasi mengenai rasisme dan diskriminasi bagi anak usia 9–12 tahun. Perancangan dilakukan melalui studi literatur, penyebaran kuesioner, pengembangan ide cerita, penyusunan sinopsis, penerapan struktur tiga babak (three-act structure), serta proses evaluasi dan revisi. Cerita berpusat pada Mareta, seorang anak asal Papua yang mengalami diskriminasi di lingkungan
sekolah karena perbedaan fisik dan budaya. Hasil perancangan berupa film animasi 3D berdurasi 8 menit 45 detik yang diproduksiselama 7 bulan dengan resolusi 1920 × 1080 piksel dan kecepatan 30 fps. Film ini menyampaikan nilai toleransi, empati, dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman melalui alur cerita yang mudah dipahami anak-anak. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner terhadap 50 responden, The Harmony dinilai mampu menjadi media edukasi yang mendukung pemahaman tentang pentingnya saling menghargai dan menghormati perbedaan.
