PENYUNTINGAN NASKAH NOVEL “PADAM” DITINJAU DARI EJAAN DAN PEMILIHAN KATA

The novel script "Padam" is a novel that tells the story of a teenage school romance that is
full of conflicts. This manuscript has the theme of teenage school romance. The author and
his colleagues present this final project in the Publishing Study Program, where the author
acts as an editor. The formulation of the problem that the author sets, namely, the purpose
of writing this final project is to find out the editing process in the manuscript of the novel
"Padam" regarding spelling errors and inaccurate word choice. The literature review that
the author uses is Oktaria, et al (2017). The writing of this final project is written using a
mechanical method with literature study data collection techniques. This editing is done
using the theory of Eneste (2017) based on the theory of editing there are three stages; the
pre-editing stage, the editing stage, and the post-editing stage. In the pre-editing stage, the
writer discusses the script, skims the script, and checks the completeness of the script. In
the editing stage, the writer makes mechanical edits to the manuscript. In the post-editing
stage, the writer rechecks the completeness of the script and proofreading. As a result of
this editing, the author has found 46 mechanical edits which include 36 spelling, and 10
diction selections.

ABSTRAK
Naskah novel “Padam” adalah novel yang mengisahkan kehidupan percintaan anak remaja
sekolah yang penuh dengan konflik. Naskah ini memiliki tema percintaan remaja sekolah.
Penulis bersama rekan-rekan meyajikan karya tugas akhir ini pada Program Studi
Penerbitan, di mana penulis berperan sebagai penyunting. Adapun rumusan masalah yang
penulis tetapkan yaitu, tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses
penyuntingan pada naskah novel “Padam” yang ditinjau dari ketidaktaan ejaan dan
ketidaktepatan pemilihan kata. Tinjauan pustaka yang penulis gunakan adalah Oktaria,dkk
(2017). Penulisan tugas akhir ini ditulis menggunakan metode mekanis dengan teknik
pengumpulan data studi pustaka. Penyuntingan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori,
Eneste (2017) berdasarkan teori penyuntingan terdapat tiga tahapan; tahapan pra
penyuntingan, tahapan penyuntingan, dan tahapan pasca penyuntingan. Pada tahap pra
penyuntingan, penulis melakukan diskusi naskah, membaca naskah sekilas, dan mengecek
kelengkapan naskah. Tahap penyuntingan, penulis melakukan penyuntingan mekanis pada
naskah. Tahap pasca penyuntingan, penulis mengecek kembali kelengkapan naskah dan
proofreading. Hasil penyuntingan ini, penulis telah menemukan 46 penyuntingan mekanis
yang meliputi 36 kesalahan ejaan dan 10 kesalahan diksi.
