PENYUNTINGAN MEKANIK TATARAN BAHASA PADA NASKAH BUKU ANAK “KAEL DAN SIHIR MERAHNYA”

The children's book script “Kael and his Red Magic” is an educational script about
managing emotions towards children that is packed with interesting fantasy stories.
The script of “Kael and his Red Magic” tells how children manage their emotions
well. The purpose of writing this final project is to reduce the mistakes made by the
scriptwriter in the book “Kael and his Red Magic”. The literature review that the
editor uses is the theory of the form of errors and the stages of editing. The writing
method used is literature study. In the discussion, the author describes the pre
editing, editing, and post-editing stages. The author conducts the pre-editing stage,
where the editor skims and re-checks the completeness of the script. The editing
stage is where the editor reviews the manuscript from a mechanical point of view.
The editor carries out the last stage, namely the post-editing stage, the editor goes
through a series of processes of editing the manuscript, then designing and then
proofreading. Mechanical edits have been produced, and the total results of editing
this manuscript are 30 edits, including 10 spelling edits, 10 word edits, and 10
sentence edits. After going through a series of editing processes, it can be concluded
that the manuscript “Kael and his Red Magic” is declared suitable for publication.

Naskah buku anak “Kael dan Sihir Merahnya” merupakan naskah edukasi tentang
pengelolaan emosi terhadap anak yang dikemas dengan cerita fantasi yang menarik.
Naskah “Kael dan Sihir Merahnya” menceritakan bagaimana anak untuk mengelola
emosinya dengan baik. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengurangi
kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan penulis naskah dalam buku “Kael dan Sihir
Merahnya”. Tinjauan Pustaka yang penyunting gunakan adalah teori bentuk
kekeliruan dan tahap-tahap penyuntingan. Metode penulisan yang digunakan yaitu
studi pustaka. Pada pembahasan, penulis menjabarkan tahap pra penyuntingan,
penyuntingan, dan pasca penyuntingan. Penulis melakukan tahap pra penyuntingan
yaitu penyunting membaca sepintas dan memeriksa kembali kelengkapan naskah.
Tahap penyuntingan yaitu penyunting melakukan bedah naskah dari segi mekanis.
Penyunting melakukan tahap terakhir, yaitu tahap pasca penyunting, penyunting
melalui serangkaian proses naskah disunting, kemudian didesain lalu dilakukan
proofreading. Telah dihasilkan suntingan mekanis, dan total hasil penyuntingan
naskah ini sebanyak 30 suntingan, meliputi 10 penyuntingan ejaan, 10
penyuntingan kata, dan 10 penyuntingan kalimat. Setelah melalui rangakaian proses
penyuntingan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa naskah “Kael dan Sihir Merahnya”
dinyatakan layak untuk diterbitkan.
