PERAN PRODUSER DALAM CASTING TALENT MENGGUNAKAN METODE “CASTING TO TYPE” PADA PROGRAM MAGAZINE SHOW “HEALTHY LOOKS”

In this digital and fast era, consumption of information and entertainment has become a
public necessity. All information is now not only in print media, television or radio, the
development is so rapid that the birth of the internet and social media. There are many
impacts given by the media to users, one of which is that the media forms an unrealistic
Beauty Standard concept so that most users feel insecure and tend to compare their
appearance with others. Through the talk show program, the author can educate and
inform about the problems of self-appearance that are felt insecure for each individual, the
author as a producer wants to show a health talk show image program that is still
reasonable and does not set too high beauty standards. Therefore, the author in this final
project, acting as a producer wants to apply casting with casting to type on the talk show
program "Healthy looks" in order to create the desired program image. "Healthy Look is
a program that raises various health problems related to a person's appearance, ranging
from facial and body skin problems, weight and height problems, to the implementation of
a healthy lifestyle. With the aim of being able to provide education in an entertaining way
regarding health problems in a person's appearance.

Pada era yang serba digital dan cepat ini, konsumsi informasi dan hiburan sudah
menjadi kebutuhan masyarakat. Segala informasi sekarang tidak hanya ada di
media cetak, televisi maupun radio, perkembangan begitu pesat hingga melahirkan
internet dan sosial media. Banyak dampak yang diberikan oleh media terhadap
pengguna salah satunya adalah media membntuk suatu konsep Beauty Standard
yang tidak realistis sehingga kebanyakan pengguna merasa insecure dan cenderung
membandingkan penampilan dirinya dengan yang lain. Melalui program Magazine
Show penulis dapat mengedukasi dan menginformasikan terkait permasalahan –
permasalahan penampilan diri yang dirasa insecure bagi tiap individunya, penulis
sebagai produser ingin menunjukan program image Magazine Show kesehatan
yang masih wajar dan tidak mematok standard beauty yang terlalu tinggi. Oleh
karena itu penulis dalam karya tugas akhir ini, berperan sebagai produser ingin
menerapakan casting dengan casting to type pada program Magazine Show
”Healthy looks” agar tercipta program image yang diinginkan. “Healthy Look
merupakan program yang mengangkat macam - macam permasalahan kesehatan yang
berkaitan dengan penampilan seseorang, mulai dari permasalahan kulit wajah dan tubuh,
permasalahan berat dan tinggi badan, hingga penerapan pola hidup sehat. Dengan tujuan
dapat memberikan edukasi dengan cara yang menghibur terkait permasalahan -
permasalahan kesehatan pada penampilan seseorang.
