PERAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM PEMBENTUKAN RITME INTERNAL DAN EKSTERNAL PADA PROGRAM DOKUMENTER INTERAKTIF “JEMBATAN HARMONI”

Pada pembuatan karya Tugas Akhir Program Televisi Dokumenter yang berjudul
“Jembatan Harmoni: Sunda Wiwitan Kampung Adat Cirendeu”, peran penulis
sebagai Program Director. Latar belakang pembuatan karya berjudul ‘Jembatan
Harmoni’ ini adalah keragaman kepercayaan di Indonesia yang hidup berdampingan
dengan agama resmi di Indonesia yang seringkali menjadi salah satu faktor
penyebab terjadinya disintegrasi yang menciptakan ketidaksetaraan dalam
masyarakat. Tujuan dari penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah mengetahui peran
Program Director dalam pembentukan ritme internal dan eksternal untuk bisa
menyajikan sebuah cerita yang berkesinambungan antara topik yang dibahas
dengan shot yang ditampikan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam
penulisan ini adalah observasi, wawancara, survei, dan studi pustaka. Ritme internal
dan eksternal tercipta apabila sebuah shot yang disambung dengan shot lain pasti
akan membentuk sebuah hubungan ritmis (Setyawan, 2015) untuk mengontrol
panjang pendeknya durasi sebuah shot sehingga mampu mengontrol pembentukan
irama pada program dokumenter ini. Penulis dapat menyimpulkan bahwa peran
seorang Program Director dalam pembuatan program dokumenter adalah
bertanggung jawab pada segala aspek, mulai dari teknis dan non teknis serta mampu
memvisualkan hingga tahap editing, melalui pembentukan ritme internal dan
eksternal. Hasil akhir dari proses produksi Tugas Akhir ini adalah Program Televisi
Dokumenter berjudul “Jembatan Harmoni : Sunda Wiwitan Kampung Adat
Cirendeu”.

In the making of the Final Project for a Documentary Television Program entitled
"Jembatan Harmoni: Sunda Wiwitan Kampung Adat Cirendeu", the author's role
is as Program Director. The background of the making of the work entitled
'Jembatan Harmoni' is the diversity of beliefs in Indonesia that live side by side with
the official religion in Indonesia which is often one of the factors causing
disintegration that creates inequality in society. The purpose of writing this Final
Project is to find out the role of the Program Director in forming internal and
external rhythms to be able to present a continuous story between the topics
discussed and the shots displayed. The data collection methods used in this writing
are observation, interviews, surveys, and literature studies. Internal and external
rhythms are created when a shot that is connected to another shot will definitely
form a rhythmic relationship (Setyawan, 2015) to control the length of the duration
of a shot so as to be able to control the formation of rhythm in this documentary
program. The author can conclude that the role of a Program Director in making
a documentary program is responsible for all aspects, from technical and nontechnical and able to visualize to the editing stage, through the formation of internal
and external rhythms. The final result of the production process of this Final
Assignment is a Documentary Television Program entitled “Harmony Bridge:
Sunda Wiwitan, Cirendeu Traditional Village”.
