PERANCANGAN NASKAH DAN STORYBOARD FILM ANIMASI “SARADJARAYA GUNTUR HAGOGON” MENGGUNAKAN METODE NARATIF

ABSTRAK
Perancangan naskah dan storyboard merupakan tahapan pra-produksi yang menentukan kekuatan narasi film animasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan metode naratif dalam perancangan naskah film animasi "Saradja Raya: Guntur Hagogon" serta menyusun storyboard sebagai media visualisasi konflik dan emosi karakter untuk mengatasi permasalahan cerita yang datar dan repetitif. Menggunakan metode penciptaan Gustami (eksplorasi, perancangan, perwujudan), data dikumpulkan melalui observasi naskah, studi pustaka, studi komparatif, dokumentasi, dan wawancara ahli. Hasil penciptaan menunjukkan bahwa metode naratif melalui struktur tiga babak berhasil membangun alur cerita yang terarah dengan hubungan sebab-akibat yang jelas. Sementara itu, perancangan storyboard dengan variasi shot dan ekspresi visual yang komunikatif efektif menerjemahkan teks naskah ke dalam bahasa sinematik. Dengan demikian, naskah dan storyboard yang dihasilkan telah memenuhi fungsi artistik serta siap menjadi pedoman utuh pada tahap produksi animasi selanjutnya.

ABSTRACT

Script and storyboard design are vital pre-production stages that determine the narrative strength of an animated film. This study aims to apply narrative methods to the screenplay design of "Saradja Raya: Guntur Hagogon" and construct a storyboard to visualize conflicts and emotional dynamics, addressing the issue of flat and repetitive storylines. Utilizing Gustami’s creative method (exploration, design, execution), data were gathered through script observation, literature review, comparative study, documentation, and expert interviews. The results show that the narrative method using a three-act structure successfully establishes a well-directed plot with clear cause-and-effect relationships. Furthermore, the storyboard designincorporating shot variations and communicative visual expressions effectively translates the textual script into cinematic language. Thus, the resulting script and storyboard fulfill both artistic and communicative functions, serving as a comprehensive blueprint for the subsequent animation production phase.
