IMPLEMENTASI 5C CINEMATOGRAPHY DALAM PEMBUATAN STORYBOARD KARYA ANIMASI “THE RED SCARF THAT HOLDS YOU”

ABSTRACT
The animated film "The Red Scarf that Holds You" focuses on the conflict between a child and their mother arising from the child's mischievous behavior. The film encourages viewers to respect their parents and highlights the importance of family bonds, aiming to foster respect in children and reduce rebellious behavior toward their parents. This final project employs the 4D research method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Storyboarding is a key stage in the film's production; for "The Red Scarf that Holds You," the storyboard incorporates the 5C principles—camera angle, continuity, cutting, close-up, and composition—to ensure the audience engages with and understands the story and visuals. The study yielded the film's storyboard and an analysis of the application of the 5C principles within it. The findings reveal that "camera angle" was the most frequently utilized of the 5C principles in the storyboard. Ultimately, the application of the 5C principles proved highly effective, contributing significantly to the appeal of the animated work.

ABSTRAK
Film animasi “The Red Scarf that Holds You” merupakan karya animasi yang berfokus menceritakan konflik antara anak dan ibu yang disebabkan oleh kenakalan sang anak. Film ini mengajarkan penonton untuk menghormati orangtua dan betapa pentingnya hubungan keluarga. Film ini bertujuan untuk membantu anak-anak supaya menghormati dan mengurangi sifat nakal terhadap orang tua. Penelitian laporan tugas akhir ini menggunakan metode penelitian 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Storyboard merupakan salah satu tahap pembuatan film animasi. Storyboard film animasi “The Red Scarf that Holds You” menerapkan prinsip 5C. Prinsip ini diterapkan di storyboard ini supaya penonton memahami dan tertarik dengan cerita dan visual film tersebut. Yaitu camera angle, continuity, cutting, close up, dan, composition. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah storyboard film animasi tersebut dan persentase penerapan 5C pada storyboard film tersebut. Setelah diteliti, ternyata penerapan 5c di storyboard “The Red Scarf that Holds You” yang paling sering digunakan adalah camera angle. Bisa disimpulkan bahwa penerapan prinsip 5c di storyboard ”The Red Scarf that Holds You” sangat berguna dan membuat karya animasi tersebut menarik.
