“STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN KEBUN RAYA CIBINONG MENJADI OBJEK WISATA EDUKASI KONSERVASI DI KABUPATEN BOGOR”

ABSTRACT
Bogor Regency has great tourism potential to be developed, one of which is the
Cibinong Botanical Garden. As one of the oldest botanical gardens in Indonesia,
its management has not been optimized. This research aims to identify the
development strategy of Cibinong Botanical Garden as an optimal conservation
education tourism object for the community and tourists. The research method used
is descriptive qualitative, the results show that Cibinong Botanical Garden has
strengths in terms of endemic plant collections and supporting facilities, but faces
obstacles in aspects of accessibility, promotion, and additional facilities. The
development of Cibinong Botanical Garden as a conservation education tourism
object requires improvement in the aspects of facilities, promotion, and technology
utilization. With the right strategy, Cibinong Botanical Garden has great potential
to become a popular educational tourism destination and contribute significantly
to Indonesia's biodiversity conservation efforts.

ABSTRAK
Kabupaten Bogor, memiliki potensi pariwisata yang besar untuk dikembangkan,
salah satunya adalah Kebun Raya Cibinong. Sebagai salah satu kebun raya tertua
di Indonesia, akan tetapi pengelolaannya belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pengembangan Kebun Raya Cibinong sebagai
objek wisata edukasi konservasi yang optimal bagi Masyarakat dan wisatawan.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitati, hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa Kebun Raya Cibinong memiliki kekuatan dalam hal koleksi
tumbuhan endemik dan fasilitas pendukung, namun menghadapi kendala dalam
aspek aksesibilitas, promosi, dan fasilitas tambahan. Pengembangan Kebun Raya
Cibinong sebagai objek wisata edukasi konservasi memerlukan peningkatan pada
aspek fasilitas, promosi, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Dengan strategi yang tepat,
Kebun Raya Cibinong memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi destinasi wisata
edukasi yang populer dan berkontribusi signifikan dalam upaya pelestarian
keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia.
