Implementasi Musik dan Sound Effect Pada Film Animasi Bisu “Second Hand”

ABSTRAK

In silent animated films, audio elements such as music and sound effects play a crucial role in conveying emotions and narrative due to the absence of dialogue. This encouraged the author to create Second Hand, a film that utilizes both elements as a medium for storytelling. This study discusses the implementation process of music and sound effects during the post-production stage and how these elements are arranged to support the atmosphere and narrative of the film. Evaluation was conducted through a screening test to observe the effectiveness of the applied audio in delivering the intended message. The screening results showed that the addition of audio helped clarify the storyline and convey emotions to the audience. In conclusion, the implementation of music and sound effects in the silent animated film Second Hand effectively strengthened the delivery of the story without dialogue.

ABSTRAK

Dalam film animasi bisu, elemen audio seperti musik dan efek suara memiliki peran penting dalam menyampaikan emosi dan alur cerita karena tidak adanya dialog. Hal ini mendorong penulis untuk membuat film Second Hand yang memanfaatkan kedua elemen tersebut sebagai media penyampaian narasi. Penelitian ini membahas proses implementasi musik dan efek suara pada tahap pascaproduksi, serta bagaimana keduanya disusun agar mendukung atmosfer cerita dalam film animasi bisu tersebut. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan melakukan uji penayangan untuk melihat efektivitas penerapan audio yang digunakan. Hasil pemutaran film menunjukkan bahwa penambahan audio mampu memperjelas alur cerita dan menyampaikan emosi kepada penonton. Kesimpulannya, implementasi musik dan sound effect dalam film animasi bisu Second Hand terbukti mampu memperkuat penyampaian cerita tanpa dialog.
